Verlagsinformation :: Publisher's information Just in case you are wondering about the differences between ADI and WDI, ADI differs from WDI in at least the following ways: - ADI has data for all countries in Africa, including those with less than one million total population; - it provides Africa-specific aggregates such as "North Africa" (the "NA" part of "MENA" with Djibouti), "Africa", "Sub-Saharan Africa excluding South Africa", and "Sub-Saharan Africa excluding South Africa and Nigeria"; - it offers a MDG-specific chapter (WDI has the data, but not necessarily in such a format); - it offers a time series-like presentation for national accounts and other macroeconomic statistics (1980, 1990, 1991, 1992,...); - it presents the CPIA (IRAI-- IDA resource allocation index) for countries whose data may be released for 2005 and 2006 (more on that at http://go.worldbank.org/S2THWI1X60) - it also has the household survey data. |
