Inhalt :: Content Internationale Zeitschrifteninhaltsbibliographie zur Musik und zum Musikleben von der Mitte des 18. Jahhunderts bis zur Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts mit rund 1,2 Million annotierten Nachweisen, darunter über 255.000 Aufführungsrezensionen. Ausgewertet und inhaltlich erschlossen werden sämtliche Beiträge in 450 ausgewählten Titeln der zeitgenössischen Musikpresse u.a. aus Österreich, Belgien, Dänemark, Frankreich, Großbritannien, Deutschland, Ungarn, Italien, den Niederlanden, Norwegen, Polen, Portugal, Rumänien, Russland, Spanien, Schweden und den Vereinigten Staaten. Der Datenbestand basiert auf den bisher erschienenen Bänden der gleichnamigen Printausgabe, die jährlich um 10-12 Bände erweitert wird. Updates: halbjährlich. Jährlicher Zuwachs: rund 20.000 Nachweise. |

Verlagsinformation :: Publisher's information Founded in 1980, the Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals is a highly annotated international database that was established to provide detailed content analyses of 18th, 19th and 20th century writings on musical history and culture. It is the first effort to undertake retrospective music periodical indexing on an international scale. The Retrospective Index currently indexes the contents of 452 music periodicals from 1766 -1966, including articles, reviews, illustrations, music examples, advertisements, and press reviews. It provides unique access to primary source material and is an essential complement to RILM, the Music Index, and the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians. Both the RIPM Index and the RIPM Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals with Full Text are updated twice a year with new titles, and both are accessed on the new, vastly improved RIPMPlus platform. In order to facilitate searching, viewing of fulltext, and manipulating the databases, and to increase the number of pertinent citations retrieved, the new platform offers the following unique features:
