Inhalt :: Content Online-Service mit Zugang zum „Chinese-English Dictionary“. Das Werk, das sich als Zeichenwörterbuch versteht, umfasst 8.000 Zeichen in alphabetischer Anordnung nach Pinyin, enthält aber auch wichtige Zeichenverbindungen für die Lektüre von Texten aus der Zeit der Streitenden Reiche bis zur Tang-Zeit. Es ist das erste chinesisch-englische Wörterbuch, das ausschließlich der vormodernen Sprache gewidmet ist und soll als praktisches Lexikon das Lesen und Übersetzen von historischen, literarischen und religiösen Texten aus der Zeit um 500 v. Chr. bis 1000 n. Chr. erleichtern. In erster Linie als Zeichenwörterbuch (zidian) konzipiert enthält es auch eine Fülle von Einträgen zu Binomen, die Alliterationen oder Reime kennzeichnen (lianmianci), sowie Einträge, die die genaue Identifizierung von Pflanzen, Tieren und ausgewählten Fachbegriffen verschiedener Bereiche ermöglichen. |
